Glasswing Ventures Leads $5M Series Seed in AI-Native Data Engineering Platform TensorStax
We are excited to announce our Seed investment in TensorStax, the AI-native agentic platform that automates essential data transformation, migration, and orchestration tasks and converts raw data into actionable insights and predictions. As the Agentic AI market is expected to grow at a compounding annual growth rate of 37.8%, TensorStax’s platform — which is designed to empower data engineering teams to harness their data more effectively, increase efficiency, and focus on more high-value, strategic work — is uniquely and strongly positioned to play a prominent role in defining the market.
In an enterprise organization today, there are nearly 22 software engineers for every data scientist or machine learning engineer. This high ratio means that data scientists often cannot keep up with business needs, leading to project delays and operational inefficiencies. Furthermore, the global volume of data is expected to reach 175 zettabytes this year, spread across diverse systems and formats. This complexity makes it increasingly difficult for enterprises to interpret data, operate efficiently, and innovate at scale.
TensorStax streamlines the data collection and interpretation process by seamlessly integrating with existing data stacks, supporting a wide array of open-source solutions and proprietary platforms, and leveraging AI-native autonomous agents to translate prompts into accurate configuration files at an 85%-90% success rate. By seamlessly integrating into customers’ data ecosystems, such as Airflow, dbt, MongoDB, and Snowflake, TensorStax allows for frictionless adoption across all business sizes.
Founders Aria Attar and Biraj Silwal bring over 10 years of experience in machine learning, data engineering, and AI innovation to TensorStax. Prior to founding TensorStax, Aria built a reputation as a high-impact data science leader, leveraging machine learning and AI to solve real-world problems, shape product direction, and accelerate go-to-market performance. At MongoDB, he was recognized as a top performer, delivering results in a high-growth, execution-driven environment. His co-founder, Biraj, previously worked as a Lead Software Engineer for Dell Technologies, where he played a pivotal role in building the infrastructure for training and deploying machine learning models. Biraj holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico’s School of Engineering and was part of the winning team at NASA MINDS for Overall Design, Build, and Demonstration.
We are thrilled to welcome TensorStax to the Glasswing family and look forward to partnering with the team as it revolutionizes data engineering practices across industries with its AI-native agentic platform.
