Glasswing Ventures Leads $3M Seed Investment in AI-Native DFIR Platform, Cydelphi

We are excited to announce our Seed investment in Cydelphi, the AI-native Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) platform reducing catastrophic breach recovery time from months to days.

As the number of ransomware attacks increases year over year, with reported incidents up 50% from 2024 to 2025, Cydelphi emerges from Stealth with an agentic platform that enables security leaders to safeguard their businesses at machine speed, transforming the $38 billion MSSP market.

Historically, enterprises and managed security service providers (MSSPs) have relied on human-led DFIR workflows to recover from attacks. The process is slow and error-prone, often resulting in prolonged dwell times and outages with an average cost of $33,333 per minute. By automating the most time- and resource-intensive aspects of incident response, Cydelphi cuts the cost and recovery time of ransomware attacks by an average of 75%. Its agents deliver immediate visibility and control in crisis scenarios, guide responders through orchestrated investigation, and capture baseline statistics to proactively predict risk.

Built by seasoned cybersecurity specialists, Cydelphi’s mission originates from years of experience working in DFIR for MSSPs and Fortune 500 companies. Founders Ron Newman, Lee Patenaude, and Doron Kolton have collaborated for over 20 years, working together at organizations such as NTT Security and Breach Security. Ron, CEO, carries over two decades of experience scaling revenue and leading go-to-market initiatives. Prior to starting Cydelphi, he was SVP of Strategic Accounts for Cyderes, where he served as the executive sponsor for the company’s partnership with Google Cloud Security. Lee, CTO, previously held senior technical positions at NTT Security, Black Box, and Kudelski Security. Finally, Doron, General Manager and VP of Research and Development, has played an instrumental role in two startups to enterprise buyers, including his own company, TopSpin Security, which he sold to Fidelis Security after raising $6M in venture funding.

We are thrilled to partner with these cybersecurity experts and the entire Cydelphi team as they modernize how organizations and service providers prepare for, investigate, and recover from cyber incidents. We are proud to have led the Seed round, with participation from Blu Ventures, Hyde Park Angels, and Merlin Group.
