Glasswing Ventures Co-leads Seed Investment in Construction Intelligence Platform, Krane
We are excited to announce our Seed investment in Krane, the AI-native construction intelligence platform bringing visibility and coordination to complex project supply chains. With 45% of construction projects being delayed due to staffing shortages in 2025, Krane comes to market with an AI-native construction crew that automates manual tasks and reduces supply chain risk, transforming the $13 trillion legacy industry.
In today’s construction workflow, material procurement and delivery are largely managed through spreadsheets and disconnected tools, limiting stakeholder visibility. As a result, construction professionals waste about 35% of their day on inefficient tasks, such as searching for project data, and miscommunication costs the United States $177.5 billion annually. By consolidating these materials and tools into a single source of truth, Krane saves construction teams up to 20 hours a week on manual labor.
Krane’s AI agents, Milo, Arlo, Chase, Lana, Rio, and Theo, each act as different members of a construction crew, working together to create an end-to-end procurement platform. Milo converts drawings and schedules into procurement logs while Arlo connects those logs and other submittals, providing a clear strategy for the pre-construction teams. Chase follows up with trade partners on the submittals, and Lana creates submittal templates for consistency. Then, Rio automates delivery schedules to avoid conflicts, and Theo reconciles purchase orders before they reach the human accounting team. Krane’s platform currently supports more than $15 billion in active projects across the U.S. and Canada.
Krane was born from firsthand experience navigating the complexity of procurement and material coordination on large-scale construction projects. Before founding the company, Founder and CEO Eshan Jayamanne spent nearly a decade in civil design, project management, and production analytics at leading contractors Stantec, Webcor, and The Boldt Company. He later led strategy and product at construction technology startup Cupix, where he helped build and scale enterprise software for the industry. Eshan is also a graduate of Stanford Graduate School of Business GSB), where he refined Krane’s vision at the intersection of construction operations and AI.
Together with seven early team members, Krane’s founding team brings more than 30 years of collective construction experience. They combine deep, field-tested operational expertise with enterprise-grade AI capabilities to build a transformational platform purpose-built for modern construction.
We are excited to partner with Eshan and the Krane team as they build and define the modern infrastructure for procurement and supply chain coordination in construction. We are proud to have co-led the funding round with Link Ventures, with participation from Tunitas VC, RoseCliff, New-Normal Ventures, and a group of angel investors.
